Our family after the blessing
Our last Sunday as a family before my husband heads for the sand. We had our twins blessing day at our church, and a brunch following at our house. It was a perfect day!
Our son wore a traditional christening romper with a cap, and our little girl wore an organza silk christening gown with ponte de venezia lace trim, georgette roses and a traditional bonnet. My favorite part of thier outfits were the tribute to my Irish heritage-- I purchased shamrock embroidered shoes for the twins, hers covered in lace, and his looking like embellished tennis shoes.
Obviously, the most important part was at church, where my husband gave sweet words to both of our children that I will never forget. It was emotional, sweet, and something that the entire congregation will remember as he held his twins while in uniform. Now that this Sunday has come to pass, this deployment has begun . . .
